This free-of-charge service is overseen directly by Espaços e Achados founder, Elizabeth Gaffney. Elizabeth has over 15 years of experience in finding long-term and temporary homes for international clients in London and across Europe, as well as residential assets for investment funds. Drawing from her deep intuition and love of connecting people with their perfect places, her successful searches have prompted a significant volume of transactions over the years.

  • Search timelines depend on the complexity of your requirements. Sales timelines depend on many factors, including market demand. Either process can take as little as 2 months or up to a year or longer but the average timeline is around 6-8 months.

    For searches, we present a list of potential properties within two weeks of commencing a search and we will continue searching for the duration of our search term commitment or until we find a suitable property.

    For property sales, we can act quickly to bring your property to market through Groupe Mackay Prestige ((Prestige & Quality Properties, Lda. / AMI 17430) and will show your property in the best possible light to connect your property with ideal buyers to achieve the best possible price.

  • The property search service is carried out free of charge, at no cost to the buyer.

    Property sales are paid for on a commission basis through an agreement with Groupe Mackay Prestige ((Prestige & Quality Properties, Lda. / AMI 17430).

  • Our main focus is finding potentially suitable properties for our clients to consider independently.

    While Elizabeth is happy to share her knowledge of the market and can represent a client in the negotiation process, we are not an investment advisory or legal service and we recommend clients carry out their own due diligence prior to signing any contract or making a purchase.

    When possible, we will make introductions to trusted local professionals to carry out surveys and provide support with legal conveyancing, finance and renovation works if necessary.

  • Our property search service can save you time sifting through hundreds of listings and can open doors to special off-market properties through our relationships within the real estate industry.

    All property searches are personally led by Elizabeth. She has over 10 years of experience finding homes for her discerning international clientele in London and Europe, as well as sourcing residential properties for institutional investment across Ireland and the UK. Apart from her extensive knowledge of the market, she draws on her deep intuition to connect clients with their perfect homes, assessing properties and land on an energetic level as well as practical considerations as she carries out her searches.

    We take on a limited number of searches and listings at any one time so clients can be assured of our dedication to their search.

    Our number one priority is to find the best solutions to fulfil our clients’ property requirements.

  • We never like to give up on a search but in the case where a client is not happy to proceed with purchasing any of the properties we present or even changes their mind about what they are looking for, we are sure they will have learnt a lot about the local market offering and gained a clearer picture of what they are seeking.

    Even after a search term has passed, if we come across a gem that we feel may be the perfect fit for one of our past clients, we will not hesitate to share it.

  • For property sales, we take a proactive approach and do everything we can to ensure the best possible chance of our clients’ properties selling within a short timeline.

    We stay in constant communication and if for any reason, a property is not attracting interest or selling, we will take steps and make recommendations to help accelerate the process.
